After a cancer scare in 2017 and the loss of close family members to cancer in 2020, Nathan Kirby sought answers on why cancer remains prevalent despite extensive research. He concluded that early detection is vital across all diseases. In 2021, he began promoting this message, and by July 2023, he formally established Keep it Checked as a non-profit foundation. Over the past year, Nathan has launched several initiatives to support this cause:
- October 2023: "Health Guardians," a program inspiring children to help loved ones prioritize annual physicals and screenings.
- March 2024: "Good News Transportation," offering reliable transportation in Southwest Florida.
Nathan's dedication to Keep it Checked reflects the strategic, innovative approach he honed over four decades in real estate and insurance, bringing energy and commitment to every endeavor.

Kevin L. Murphy - Keep It Checked Board member
Kevin has 43 years of experience in private law practice counseling clients in business issues, Title IX, and sports law among others. His works was recently shown on ESPN, HBO, and Scripps News. Murphy earned his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Kevin devotes significant time to helping cancer families through speeches nationwide and in Ireland regarding his award-winning book, Surviving Cancer After Surviving Cancer (Headline Books). In the beginning of 2020 Kevin began hosting a Podcast “Thriving After Surviving”.
Dr.Nicole V. Lang - Health Guardian Director
Dr. Nicole V. Lang is a highly respected board-certified pediatrician with over 30 years of experience in the Washington, D.C., area. She founded Washington Pediatric Associates and Premier Pediatric Concierge Care, offering personalized, comprehensive pediatric services. Dr. Lang is frequently recognized as one of D.C.'s top pediatricians and serves as a National Trainer for the Touchpoints Approach. She has won numerous awards, including the AAMC Humanism in Medicine Award, and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine (GWUSOM). A strong advocate for child health, preventative care, and holistic family-centered health, Dr. Lang is also committed to mentoring future health professionals.
